Training and Development of Surveyors

        The Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization) conducts the Training and Development of Surveyors in accordance with the international standard ISQuaEEA: The International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association Standard for Surveyor Training Programmes, 4th Edition Version 1.0, aiming for global alignment with its vision. The Institute has maintained its ISQuaEEA: Surveyor Training Programme accreditation for the third cycle (February 2024 – February 2028).


        A “Surveyor” is regarded as a trusted partner of healthcare organizations, collaboratively enhancing healthcare service systems through the process of Empowerment Evaluation.


        Embarking on the Quality Journey towards Becoming an HA Surveyor, Through the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI) Surveyor Training Programme, accredited internationally by ISQua (IEEA) – International Society for Quality in Health Care, External Evaluation Association.


        The HA 451 External Surveyor Preparation Camp course, participants will gain experience of being a surveyor from a range of highly qualified speakers. led by a team of speakers led by Dr. Anuwat Supachutikul, HA experts, as well as senior surveyors, such as Ajarn Pongphan Thana, Ph.D. Dr.Chanane Wanapiraka,Assoc. Prof. M.D., Dr. Somjit Cheecharoen,.M.D., Dr. Apakorn Supanya and senior surveyors with many experiences. exchanged ideas and learned through case studies and discussions in small groups throughout the 5 days of training.

Participants qualifications

1. Age 35 years and older

2. Graduated in health sciences or related fields and have experience in quality work, management of key work systems, management of departments or organizations. Not less than 1 year, or more than 10 years of experience in hospitals, or 5 years of experience as a senior executive.

3. They must have a good personality, good interpersonal relationships, be able to adapt and solve immediate problems appropriately according to the situation, and be able to communicate and work well with others.

4. Must have passed HA501 training and have knowledge and understanding of quality development concepts. Use of quality tools and HA standards and other relevant knowledge and critical systems thinking skills.

5. Consent from the organization's chief executive. In participating in the training throughout the course.

6. They must be responsible for their assigned duties and perform their duties with honesty, honesty, and transparency in accordance with the principles/standards set by the OR.

7. Any other additional qualifications as specified by the Institute.


Training objectives

1. To allow participants to understand the concept of quality development. The use of quality tools and HA standards at a level that can be applied to enter the development of surveyors of the institute.

2. To enable the participants to develop key skills of surveyors such as critical thinking. using a systems perspective, listening, observing, coaching with goals

3. To enable participants to develop skills in analyzing self-assessment reports (Self Assessment Report) at the level that can plan survey visits and make recommendations for development.

For those who are determined and ready will be selected to participate in self-development as a surveyor in the Quality Expert in Training Program, which is internationally accredited Surveyor Training Program by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) to be a part in driving quality improvement. Thailand's public health service system by using a learning mechanism self assessment and external visits aiming for Thailand to have standardized health services Is trusted by the society, with the PSA having a role in promoting Promoting Quality Culture
