ISQua EEA Certifies “HA Standard 6th Edition” for 4 Years, Reinforcing Thailand's Stand on the International Stage of Quality and Safety

The Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI) announced a significant achievement after the International Society for Quality in Health Care - External Evaluation Association (ISQua EEA) officially certified the “Hospital and Healthcare Service Standards, 6th Edition (HA Standards 6th Edition)” on January 27, 2026. The certification is valid from January 2026 to January 2030, reflecting Thai hospital development standards aligned with international principles, supporting digital transformation, sustainability, and safety (3P).
Dr. Piyawan Limpanyalert, Chief Executive Officre of the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI), revealed that HA announced the adoption of the “HA Standards, 6th Edition in 2026” and applied for certification from ISQua EEA to confirm the credibility of Thai standards and build confidence among healthcare facilities that use the standards to develop their service systems.
“The development of the 6th Edition standards involved participation from many sectors to ensure it is concise, modern, and aligns with international criteria.” "Supporting global changes and healthcare technology, adapting to global situations, academic and technological advancements, as well as quality and safety management concepts, is essential for Thai hospitals to develop sustainably and keep pace with the times. A key focus of the 6th HA (Hospital Accreditation) edition is the application of digital and AI to enhance patient care, driving organizations with a sustainable approach, emphasizing safety encompassing patients, personnel, and the public, as well as integrating spiritual dimensions, Thai traditional medicine, health promotion, and innovations such as telemedicine," said the Chief Executive Office of the Healthcare Accreditation Institute.
