Pattana–Worachot Open the 26th HA National Forum, Advancing “Compassionate Innovation” for the Future of Healthcare

BANGKOK, 10 March 2026 — Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health officially opened the 26th HA National Forum, reaffirming the country’s commitment to advancing quality healthcare innovation grounded in compassion and the human touch.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, together with Mr. Worachot Sukonkajorn, Deputy Minister of Public Health, who also presented accreditation certificates to more than 400 public and private healthcare organizations. The HA forum underscores the importance of integrating innovation in quality healthcare services with empathy and human-centered care, aiming to strengthen a health system that is modern, inclusive, and resilient to future challenges.

The event was held at the IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, under the theme “Compassionate Innovation: Shaping the Future of Care.” More than 6,600 participants attended, including representatives from healthcare organizations nationwide, partner networks, and distinguished speakers from Thailand and abroad.

In his keynote address, Mr. Pattana highlighted the Ministry’s priority to accelerate Thailand’s digital health transformation under the policy “Doctors Not Exhausted, People Not Waiting — Connecting All Services Through Technology.”

The policy focuses on strengthening health data infrastructure, enhancing data connectivity across the health system, and ensuring the stability and security of health information systems.

Despite rapid technological advancement, Mr. Pattana emphasized that “Humanized Healthcare” must remain at the center of healthcare.

Healthcare innovation, he noted, must go beyond improving clinical treatment. It must also address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families, while supporting the wellbeing of healthcare professionals. Forums such as this, he said, play a crucial role in driving transformation toward a health system that is modern, adaptive, responsive to diversity, and prepared for future challenges — with patients firmly at the center of care.

“I would like to congratulate the 431 healthcare organizations and public health service centers receiving accreditation certificates from the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization),” Mr. Pattana said.

“The HA Standards edition 6th have been accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association (ISQua EEA) and represent the first healthcare service standards in the world to be accredited under ISQua’s latest international standards. The framework places strong emphasis on Sustainable Care, Digital Care and AI Systems for Care, and Supporting the Care Workforce.

“This milestone reinforces public confidence that accredited healthcare organizations across Thailand will continue delivering safe, high-quality, and equitable healthcare services, while ensuring the wellbeing of healthcare professionals and promoting sustainable governance of the national health system.”

Dr. Piyawan Limapunya, Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI), said the 26th HA National Forum, held from 10–13 March 2026, serves as a national platform for knowledge exchange and academic dialogue on healthcare quality and patient safety, including standards development and quality accreditation systems.

The forum also celebrates healthcare organizations that have achieved HA accreditation and other quality standards, fostering pride and inspiration across the healthcare sector while strengthening collaboration with national and international partners in advancing healthcare quality.

More than 1,400 academic submissions are being presented at the forum, with 25 outstanding works selected for recognition, including 18 quality improvement Initiatives and 7 research studies.

A total of 419 healthcare organizations received HA accreditation certificates, including:

• 14 healthcare organizations accredited or reaccredited under the Advanced Level of Hospital and Healthcare Standards

• 5 healthcare organizations accredited or reaccredited under the Standard Level Hospital and Healthcare Standards with a four-year accreditation period

• 371 healthcare organizations accredited or reaccredited under the Standard Level of Hospital and Healthcare Standards
