The origin of Quality Coach
HAI has a policy to use the empowerment evaluation concept to create a learning process, provide encouragement, act as a mirror and be able to stimulate the development of the hospital. Therefore, the Quality Coach is an important person in the process of promoting and creating learning for the hospital.
Quality Coach refers to a person with experience in quality development and management, who has been selected, trained to increase potential and has been appointed as a Quality Coach, acting as a representative of the institution, visiting to provide advice for the development of the hospital in a friendly manner and emphasizing the mutual learning process (learning approach), stimulating the view of development opportunities from a broader perspective according to the standard framework and gathering various evidence. Therefore, the consultant is a stimulant of development in the area, providing knowledge and giving advice to the hospital in various forms.
Referring to the regulation of the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organization) on the assignment of persons to act as Quality Process Consultants, the roles and duties of the Quality Process Consultant are as follows:
1. To be a representative of the institution in promoting and stimulating the development of the quality of the hospital in a friendly manner and emphasizing the mutual learning process (learning approach), stimulating the view of development opportunities from a broader perspective according to the standard framework, as a stimulant of quality development in all forms. Both quality development in the form of network areas, providing knowledge and advice on quality concepts and hospital standards to hospitals in various forms
2. Promote learning processes in the area, provide advice and create learning for hospitals to create understanding in the use of quality tools and quality processes to achieve the goals of the institution
3. Visit to provide advice, provide knowledge to stimulate learning and develop quality for hospitals at all levels, including providing advice on key issues that are consistent with the direction of the institution in various certifications and prepare reports to provide suggestions to hospitals for improvement
4. Attend training courses specified by the institution to increase knowledge and skills in quality development and hospital quality certification
5. Provide suggestions and cooperate with the institution in methods or formats for quality development in the area, including visiting to provide advice for quality development
