Nonthaburi, Thailand - July 26, 2023: A momentous occasion took place as the Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) paid a visit to the Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI) in Thailand. Dr. Piyawan Limpanyalert, CEO of HAI Thailand, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, including Dr. Marcus Schabacker, President and CEO of ECRI, Mr. Woo Kit Song, Director of ECRI Asia Pacific, and Ms. Stella Cheong, Senior Consultant of ECRI Asia Pacific.

Dr. Piyawan Limpanyalert engaged in live lectures with Dr. Marcus Schabacker via the HA Thailand Facebook page, focusing on topics such as "Total Systematic Approach to Patient Safety" and "Patient Safety in the U.S." Additionally, discussions centered around "Patient Safety in Thailand (3P Safety)" and the "Thailand Top 10 Patient Safety Report 2023," both of which have become subjects of global concern in healthcare.

The lectures emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes in the healthcare system and the significance of a joint effort between ECRI and the 3P Patient Safety Report. The "Thailand Top 10 Patient Safety 2023" report, a collaborative effort among 3P Safety Hospital members and HA Hospitals, is currently in the process of publication to the public.

This comprehensive report will play a vital role in analyzing serious adverse events related to patient safety in healthcare settings, ultimately leading to improvements in patient care and safety systems across Thailand.
